A New and Exciting Chapter

Well, I’ve decided to do it! I’m taking the plunge and focusing all my business efforts on becoming a full time entrepreneur.

I just can’t seem to shake the bug, to work for myself and create my own destiny. This has been boiling in me for a long time. I have this fantastic yet odd mix of private sector, entrepreneurial, business development and creative marketing experience, which I took to the government of all things and actually made it work. Like in a big way! Then I leveraged that experience to lead a not for profit economic development agency to a record year facilitating  job creation and investment expansion, among other many big changes.

Now I am going to take that odd yet fantastic mixture and apply it to do my own thing, which I’ve already been doing many ways for years, now it’s time to focus and commit!

I am leaving Peterborough Economic Development and launching my business back home in Prince Edward County.

My business like many today will be focused on my personal brand, my expertise and how I can help people, businesses and communities achieve their goals. Specifically, I want to help people, businesses and communities learn about and access the tools I have used to become successful in business and community building.

My new business is comprised of 3 S’s: Speaking, Services, Skills Training and focused on bringing communities the creative and innovative ideas, skills and resources they need to prosper and grow.

  1. Speaking: I’m looking forward to ramping this part of my business back up. I’ve enjoyed sharing my story which focuses on creative and innovative ways of helping communities grow.
  2. Services: I will be working on select community and private sector projects where I feel I can make a difference and help people, businesses and communities with their business and economic development challenges using my sales, business development and marketing expertise.
  3. Skills Training: I am very excited to take my tools of the trade and turn them into web and live based educational training products for community and economic development.

Stay tuned for more developments. I’m looking forward to becoming quite active on my new business beginning in May.
